Baking with a one year old is difficult but I somehow assembled my Christmas cookie boxes

I’m convinced these cookie makers in this sub are actually aliens, superhuman or something how are they this perfect :sob:

Many years of ugly ass cookies, in my experience :sweat_smile:

Hopefully a lot of those (less aesthetic) were delicious!

I’m more impressed with their productivity. I think I’m a hero for making a single batch of cookies for my house and these folks are out there making thousands for everyone they’ve ever met. I don’t know how anyone has the time! Absolutely superhuman.

Tell us about the yellow cubes pls! :yellow_square:

They are funfetti shortbread bites with yellow food coloring LOL.

I added white, green, and red nonpareils in the dough and then on the top I pressed trees from Wilton Tree sprinkle mix. Because white and green sprinkles were barely visible in the pale shortbread dough, I added the food coloring! And then I called these Golden Shortbread Bites :grin:

Here’s the recipe I used: Quick and Easy Funfetti Shortbread Bites {Egg-free} -

Thank you!

From the top left to right:

Sugar cookies with royal icing, the leaves are Wilton sprinkles,

Peanut butter blossoms,

Gingerbread with royal icing and sprinkles (Wilton Tree mix),

Funfetti shortbread bites (no saffron, I added gold food coloring to make the sprinkles stand out),

Gingersnaps,

Linzer cookies,

Pfeffernusse.

Are the balls earl grey? What are the yellow cubes? Recipes are always welcome!!

Balls are pfeffernusse and yellow cubes are funfetti shortbread bites with yellow food coloring.

Respectfully I would take 20 boxes.

Omg, a one year old? I can’t even do this with a cat! Super talented, I’m impressed.

I had to efficiently use every minute of his sleep :sweat_smile:

Omg the wide Santa cookie :slight_smile: so so so cute.

These are stunning. The wreath cookie really caught my eye. It’s almost too beautiful to eat.

I have a 15-month-old and am going to attempt to bake cookies this weekend to bring to the in-laws when we visit for xmas. I can only hope they look as appealing and delicious as yours.

@Ira
I love the wreath because it’s really easy! I do V shapes in dark green with I shapes in between and then swirl twice with a toothpick. Added red berries later for bumpy texture.

The key in baking with a toddler is to give him ALL the kitchen tools to play with, but only one by one to ration them.

Stunning!!! :christmas_tree::sparkles:
