I have the King Arthur Cookie Companion, a NYT Cooking subscription, the Displaced Housewife cookie book, and access to Google.

Could the group share their favorite recipe? I’m looking for a spice-heavy cookie that’s perfect for fall and gloomy weather, and I’d prefer it to be chewy.

I am considering using a mix of dark and golden raisins. Is that a good idea? I have rolled oats available.
