Check Out My First Brioche... Success

I’m so excited to share that I finally made brioche for the first time, and I got that perfect stringy crumb on my first try! Honestly, this is so good it’s insane. I topped them with salted butter caramel, and it’s like heaven on earth…

Here’s the recipe I used:

Ingredients:

  • Brioche flour: 500g
  • Salt: 9g
  • Sugar: 70g
  • Dry yeast: 7.5g (or 15g fresh)
  • Eggs (beaten): 150g
  • Whole milk: 150g
  • Butter (soft): 150g (I used 165g, but you can go up to 300g if you want!)

Whatttt?..Am I reading that right? 500 grams of salt?

I thought I was looking at a picture of Elsa from Frozen, lol!

What speed did you use on your stand mixer?

Can someone confirm if this is a cheese pull or if the bread is undercooked? Thanks…

For kneading dough in a stand mixer, use the dough hook, not the paddle attachment.
