I would only need boxes large enough to accommodate cakes that size because the stand—I believe that’s what it’s called—that she bakes her cakes on is approximately 10 inches in diameter. most often a pale, neutral hue like white.
I didn’t want to buy anything I thought could work only to have her be unable to use it for whatever reason because I have no idea what to look for in a nice cake box.
Oh, I totally get it… I also got cake boxes for my sister once. Try getting 10-inch white cake boxes. They look clean and are perfect for cakes that size. Check Amazon or bakery supply stores. I can guarantee she’ll love them
Compared to the Wilton brand boxes you can purchase at craft stores, there are numerous boxes on Amazon that will wind up costing less per box. The size of the box you need will depend on the size of the cake board she usually uses, which is a cardboard circle or square that the cake rests on. Take note of the cakes’ average height as well. Upon adding 3–4 layers and decorations, I’ve seen that my cakes wind up being “8 around and 10” high. The 10" wide by 10" deep by 12" high boxes I purchased fit incredibly well. However, if her usual cakes are larger and flatter, there are boxes that are 5" high.
Visit the major, chain grocery store in your area. It includes an on-site bakery where you may purchase adorned cakes. It’s likely that you can purchase one or two boxes for a few dollars.
