Over baked chocolate chip cookies made an incredible cheesecake crust

omg I just overdid a whole batch of cookies by like two minutes tonight, this post just turned my night around

Sad about the cookies but hurray for crust! I just threw them in a food processor and added some melted butter until it held together.

@Dayton
Thank you so much! Those cookies sound so good, maybe I’ll have to over bake some brownies next.

What a great idea!

So do you just crush chocolate cookies?

I used a food processor then mixed in melted butter until it stayed together like a graham cracker crust.

I think you could crush them too!

@Jordan
Sounds delicious.

@Jordan

When I don’t have a mixer at hand, I just crush the cookies as much as possible, which also works great.

I use a rolling pin to crush biscuits.

amazing!Baking requires a little whim.

Hey, that seems like a really good idea! The cookie part of a cheesecake is so good.

That’s such a clever idea! Love this!

I just know that tastes so good.

Been doing this for years. I use extra chocolate chunk cookies left over from events or old ones for the bases of my congo bars and cheesecakes. Great use of extra product and money saving too.

You are a genius I’ve never been wild about graham cracker crust.

I honestly do not like graham cracker crust so I usually make shortbread anyway. I think this may be my go-to from now on though.
