Perfect Cinnamon Roll Recipe?

I am planning to make cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning thinking ahead, but I want to avoid choosing a bad recipe. My past experiences with cinnamon rolls have varied due to issues like stale or dense dough, too much or too little cinnamon, and low-quality icing.

I am looking for truly ooey-gooey, soft, and squishy cinnamon rolls. I think Cinnabon makes pretty good rolls, especially their just the middle ones.

Does anyone have a cinnamon roll recipe they absolutely love?

For truly soft, gooey cinnamon rolls, the key is to pour warm heavy cream over them just before baking.

I just tried this method, and the cream created the most incredible gooey caramel sauce right in the baking dish as the cinnamon rolls baked. It was unbelievably delicious.
