My moon cracked from trying to fit the sun, I did measure prior and it fit but not sure what happened. Sobs.

Absolutely succeeded! They are so pretty!! What kind of cakes are they?
Just a basic marble! The buttercream on the moon is vanilla and the sun is cookie butter

Thank you!
Novice here, how do you get the iridescent effect on the icing? It’s really pretty!

Edible pearl dust, most likely.

It is edible luster dust!
That is absolutely magical!
I would never eat this because of how beautiful it is
Attempt?? This looks amazing.
You measured before the buttercream was applied, likely. It’s an error I’ve made more than once. Your cake looks phenomenal, who cares if the larger cake cracked a little? Buttercream is a good glue.
Art has its own way of surprising us, this still looks amazing.
What a beautiful color contrast, this is a very creative cake!
The moon is stunning !!
This is so beautiful!

Holy cow!! I have never seen anything like this, did you come up with the concept or were you inspired by something? It’s so gorgeous!
I got the concept from other sun/moon cakes but I added my own elements (:
Um wow!
I’m not sure how but I thought it was Pac-Man taking a big bite out of a blue ball.
Oh my god that’s the most glamorous one-tier cake I have seen in a while. Good job! Loving the color and the deco
