They look delicious, but they should be a bit more delicate and thinner. The dough should be very runny. Maybe your eggs are a different size than the recipe suggests?

I noticed your recipe is quite different from mine. Here’s how I make them:

  • 100 grams of salted butter or margarine
  • 125 grams of light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 175 grams of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2.5 dl of rolled oats (about a cup)

Optional add-ins: finely chopped nuts (any type), chocolate chips, or dried fruit (though I’m not a fan).

Melt the butter in a pan, turn off the heat, and mix in the other ingredients. Bake at 200°C for 8-10 minutes.

I have had them come out like this before, but they’re still tasty.

I used to make these at a bakery where I worked. I tried using the same recipe at home to make cannoli shells for Christmas. It was a lot of work, and I won’t do it again, but they were really good!
