What are some recommendations and suggestions for packaging cookies effectively?

I recently shared some of my cookies and I’m curious about how you package yours for gifting or selling. I usually use plastic bags, sometimes tied or heat-sealed, and have also used cardstock toppers. These work well for take-home favors or bake sales.

However, I’m looking for ideas on packaging cookies in a box or on a platter for parties to reduce plastic use. I’ve seen crinkle paper strips, which look nice, but I’m unsure if they’re food safe. I also like the idea of using colorful tissue paper, but I don’t think that’s food safe either.

Any suggestions?

Think of using reusable containers or biodegradable cardboard cartons as eco-friendly solutions. For food safety, line them with wax paper or parchment. Add a personalized tag and some twine or ribbon for a wonderful decoration.

You can never go wrong with reusable silicon bags. I prefer Ziploc, its widely available in local stores

Choose containers like tins, boxes, or bags that fit cookies snugly to prevent breakage. Use food-safe materials to avoid contamination. Wrap delicate cookies individually in wax or parchment paper and layer them to prevent sticking. Seal containers tightly to preserve freshness, consider decorative touches for appeal, and include storage instructions and allergen labels
