Baking for just me? Help needed

I absolutely love baking, but I live alone, and there’s no one to share with. While I could eat everything, that’s probably not the best idea haha! Would it be okay to just cut my recipes in half or even smaller? Also, would I need to adjust the baking time for smaller amounts?

I’m still learning, so sorry if this is a silly question!

You can definitely reduce the amount for cookies, but cakes and pies might be tricky. I suggest baking full batches and freezing the extras—they usually defrost well!

Make cupcakes and freeze all but one. You can grab one from the freezer each day, and change up the frosting for variety. Hand pies work well too!

Get a kitchen scale! You can make small batches like tiny loaves or cookies and adjust the baking time accordingly. I freeze cookie dough, too.

I halve recipes all the time! Use a scale for accuracy. ‘Dessert for Two’ has great small-batch ideas.

Maybe share with neighbors? A small treat bag can brighten someone’s day!

You could donate extras to a nursing home or food bank!

Use a kitchen scale and smaller pans. It’s a lot easier to control portions.
