Does Anyone Know Why the Icing is Doing This?

Hello folks…

I’m having a bit of a problem with the donuts I’m making at work, and I’m hoping someone here can help me figure it out. For some reason, the icing on our donuts keeps coming out looking really nasty, and we can’t figure out why.

We’re thinking it might be because we’re putting cold icing on hot donuts, but we’re not entirely sure. Has anyone else experienced this? Could that really be the issue, or is there something else we’re missing?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated—our donuts are supposed to look delicious, not like a mess. Thanks in advance

The problem might be that the icing is too cold for the hot donuts. Try letting the donuts cool completely before icing them, and make sure the icing isn’t too thick or cold.

The filling is getting a little wrinkled because they will shrink some as they cool. They can be warm, but not hot from the pan.

They’ll shrink a little as they cool, so the icing is wrinkling a little. They can be warm, just not straight out of the fryer.
