Edible blood recipe without corn syrup?

Hi guys I am trying to find a recipe for edible fake blood that is maybe a little thicker and less sugary than those produced with corn syrup. any suggestions? :slight_smile:

Would a white chocolate ganache colored with red food coloring work well, as I was thinking?

Salted caramel with red and a small touch of blue!! I love salted caramel too cause it cuts the sweetness

How about adding a little extra sugar to make a thicker simple syrup, then coloring it red with food coloring and adding a drop of green to add some depth?

hi brother marcus,to achieve a thicker consistency resembling blood clots, you can add a few drops of red candy melts to either recipe after it has cooled slightly.
