Hawaiian Shirt cake for my friend's 30th birthday

First time attempting a cake like this! It’s a vanilla sponge layered with vanilla buttercream and topped with fondant icing and decorations. This was my first experience working with fondant—it was a bit tricky to start with, but once I got the hang of it, it turned out to be so much fun…

They’re going to love it! The shape is giving me a weird urge to cut this in slices lol

That’s exactly what we did! It was the easiest way and it looked great.

LOVE this! What a cute design!

Thank you! It was super daunting when I was planning it out, but ended up being a lot easier and fun to make!

@Whitney
It was mostly the fondant that was intimidating, but once I got used to it, I loved working with it. And thanks, everyone loved the name tag too :joy:.

It’s absolutely spectacular!! Very well done!!

I loathe fondant, but the creativity and attention to detail is undeniable.

This is so adorable and extremely well done. It looks very professional. I zoomed in to see if you added thread details; you did, it’s lovely!

Thank you so much! And yeah, I got a little lost in the details but it was honestly so fun.
