I made sheet cakes for my wedding!

Wow, those cakes sound like absolute masterpieces! You perfectly balanced your love for fruity flavors with your husband’s chocolate preference, and the attention to detail is incredible. Using natural flavors for coloring is such a thoughtful touch—it adds depth to both the taste and presentation.

The pink chocolate-raspberry creation and the green lemon-matcha combo both sound divine, and the mix of textures (cookie crumbs, ganache, curds) makes them even more special. The candied lemon slices and edible flowers must have added such a beautiful finishing touch.

It’s no surprise there were some tears—it’s a huge undertaking, especially for your wedding! But the effort you put into making these from scratch and freezing components in advance shows how much love went into them. I hope you had a moment to step back and admire your hard work (and enjoy a big slice!). Congratulations on both the wedding and the stunning cakes.

These are stunning! I have legitimately never realized that I could make layer cakes out of sheet pan cakes, smh Might have to try that out if my daughter wants to invite her entire class to her party next year.

@Bailey
It was a little tricky to handle—I couldn’t have done it if the layers weren’t frozen! Definitely recommend freezing if you try it :slight_smile:

@Poe
Genuine question on how it’s harder to stack a sheet cake?? I feel like it’d be easier than a roll round cake?

I don’t get it! Do the squiggles mean something?

No, it was just an emotional moment putting an expressive finishing touch on something that I worked hard on for my own wedding! I chose squiggles because the signs and invitations that my partner designed for the wedding also had swooshing and swirling lines on them.

I definitely prefer stacking when frozen, I’ll just have to figure out how to fit them in my freezer lol.

I love the colors and decorations! Whimsical and fun, but still fancy. Great combo. And congrats on your wedding/marriage!

Thanks so much!!

@Emory
It’s a light green cocktail olive. To me they’re 1950-60 colors. They’re beautiful!

Beautiful!

Not going to lie though. My brain had a moment of seeing the coils and then the purple pansies, put it all together and was perplexed why you would put red onions on your cake.

I zoomed in and was relieved :joy:.

@Vale
lol gross! Thank you for taking the time to zoom in and redeem me :see_no_evil:.

You can’t fool me Cosmo and Wanda.

But seriously, they are gorgeous! Great job! And congrats on the wedding!

Wicked movie promo you’re not gonna get me this time.

Those are the most GORGEOUS sheet cakes I have ever seen in my life with the most delectable sounding flavors ever. The green one sounds especially good to me but goodness they’re so pretty!

Not personally a fan of the worm icing decoration but the flowers, fruits, and colors are all fantastic.

I love that the squiggles seem to be kind of a Rorschach test for y’all. Glad you like some of it :slight_smile:

Big fan of the Bayou Saint Cake squiggle. Haters gonna hate. Also, smooth corners on a sheet cake are no easy feat. Great job.

I love her work! But not for everyone, I get it. Thanks for the kind words :slight_smile:

These are so stunning! I’ve never seen stacked up sheet cakes look so clean and elegant, I’m so inspired.
