New baker, burned my baked oatmeal. Is it too bad to eat?

Since you mentioned being a newbie baker… it will take time to get used to your particular oven. Some run a bit higher temp-wise, some run a bit cooler.

For example, in my current oven, I know that most of the time, if a baking recipe has a range for baking time, I will most likely be ok with whatever time is right in the middle of that range.

So keep practicing and keep an eye on your baked goods when they are cooking.

Nothing a scoop of ice cream won’t take care of!

Que delicioso se ve.

Try it. It doesn’t look too bad.

Keep trying though

Anything burned is edible if you’re determined enough.

Did you die? How was it?

Maybe it can be repurposed into granola?

You can try rehydrating it by sticking it in a sealed container with slices of bread. That might help the hard top soften up.

Reheat in the microwave, break up, and pour milk over the warm baked oatmeal. This should make it moist and hopefully delicious.

Rico.

Cover and put in the fridge. Wait a week or 3. Then throw it out.

Don’t all moms do this? /s
