I just prepared a persimmon galette that resembled this recipe. I fried the butter, added some nutmeg, cloves, and anise, and replaced the whisky with bourbon for the sauce. It tasted fantastic with warm brie on top!
Hello, here are some delectable recipes to try with persimmons;
Bread with Persimmons
Ingredients: two cups of pulped persimmon (about four ripe persimmons)
One cup vegetable oil and two cups sugar
Four eggs
two cups of flour
One teaspoon of baking powder
One-half teaspoon baking soda
Half a teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon powdered cinnamon
1½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup of optionally chopped nuts
Guidelines:
Set the oven’s temperature to 175°C/350°F. Coat two 9 x 5 loaf pans with grease.
The persimmon pulp, sugar, and vegetable oil should all be combined in a big bowl. Beat thoroughly after each addition of egg. Add eggs one at a time.
Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices in a separate basin.
Stirring until just blended, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
