I used Preppy kitchen recipe, but to be honest it’s the only one I tried and liked right away, so I don’t know maybe there are better ones out there.
The flavor is really nice. I also like that you don’t need a lot of butter or kneading!
As a fellow parent of a 1-year-old… I’m astonished at what you accomplished! Amazing job! These are so beautiful!
How did you manage to bake with a 1-year-old? I have a 12-month-old and she demands all my attention. I only can attempt to bake when my hubby has a day off from work and she is in the mood to get entertained by him. Kitchen utensils keep her occupied for maybe 5 minutes. XD

To be honest, I did 80% of the baking while the little one was either napping, sleeping, or playing with dad. That meant I had to sacrifice some of my night sleep and free time in general.
The remaining 20% of work was a mix of baby playing with kitchen utensils (I also gave him ‘new’ things, like cookie cutters or sprinkle jars), putting him in the carrier (he LOVED watching the stand mixer work), or simply trying to finish stuff while he’s trying to get my attention. Let me tell you, trying to pipe straight lines of icing when someone is pulling your pants and screaming is a bit stressful 
I hope next Christmas will be different and he can actually participate and make some cute ugly cookies
